QR Codes, or Quick Response Codes, are a great way to incorporate technology into the classroom and make learning more engaging! QR codes look to be a complicated piece of technology but they are actually very simply to create and use! To create the QR code, there are several sites such as http://qr.snipp.com/ or
http://www.qrstuff.com/. Simply paste the link to the URL that you wish the QR code to take the scanner to and it will generate a graphic similar to the one I have pasted to the left. Once you have created the code, simply attach it to whatever item you want to enhance! The student or parent can download a simple QR scanner such as "i-nigma" in the App Store and they can scan the code to get to the intended destination!
The link I created will take the scanner to a video I created and uploaded to Youtube, but the possibilities that you can link to your QR code are endless!
